Winelands Tour - Cape Town Tours in South Africa
Different grape varieties grow in these wine lands such as Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, and not to forget the famous South African Pinotage.
Stellenbosch is famous with its university and offers study places from all over the western cape. We are doing of course a lot of wine cellar tours and tastings, and have the opportunity to buy the wine you like.
We have ample time to explore Stellenbosch with its museums, galleries and gift shops. Franschhoek After our visit in Stellenbosch we head to Franschhoek, a dream destination for wine lover's. Franschoek got his name from the Huguenot village people calling it the French corner. The town will give you a feeling you are visiting France, with its many building and streets with French names. Also here you are invited to taste the region's delicacies like cheeses and award winning wines. A new venue on our trip is a ride on the Franschhoek Tram travelling with you slowly trough beautiful vineyards, breath-taking scenery and passing magnificent wine estates.
Drakenstein Prison
On our way to Paarl we will visit the Victor Verster Prison, Nelson Mandela has spent the last fourteen months here, and left the prison as a free man in February 1990. Paarl
Arriving in Paarl you will be presented with the so called Paarl Monument - the Afrikaans language monument which is build on Paarl Rock. The huge granite rock has three rounded peaks and is compared to Ayers Rock in Australia. Of course we will also here taste the region's finest wines after visiting the famous Spice Route, coffee shops and breweries. Our mind filled with many different exposures and perhaps a bit light headed from tasting all these different top class wines we are heading back to the mothercity. For more information please do not hesitate to contact us and we will get back to you shortly.
