The Strand offers the perfect base from which to enjoy a holiday with the winelands of the Cape (incl Somerset West and Stellenbosch) on its doorstep, Hermanus and the city of Cape Town less than an hour's drive away and one of the most scenic ocean drives (from Gordon's Bay to Rooi Els) just around the corner. The False Bay is very popular for swimming as the ocean reaches a comfortable swimming temperature during the summer months.
